American Eagle Overlook
Where is It:
Outside of Victor, CO
Old way up is to your right as you come to Victor, it is now gated part way up but there are still buildings to see. New way up to overlook is located north of Goldfield along 81, there is a sign that says "American Eagle Overlook".

How Challenging:
This is a 1 (graded road)
My Take:
You get to see how big the strip mining operation really is. Plus you are able to checkout a lot of old mine sites that have information boards posted telling you about the mines & mills. This is also a good hiking area. At the top of the overlook is an old mining operation that you can walk around. The have changed things, now they posted a sign saying handicap parking is at the very top, not sure about you, but I do not typically walk far from my ride and there is plenty of room to park up there. It is your call what you do.
